GreenLight Star Productions, LLC Company Profile: Formed in 2007 by music executive, film festival developer, philanthropist & producer James “JB” Brown and concert promoter, producer & business man Lehrman Bess, GreenLight Star Productions, LLC was formed with a goal to produce quality independent films for worldwide distribution. The duo has over 25 years of combined entertainment experience and relationships. GreenLight Star may be a new company name but they bring along many industry alliances that makes them an industry heavy weight. These alliances include The Island Def Jam Music Group, Star “B” Entertainment, Bridge Gate Films, The African American Cinema Gallery, Hispanic Cinema Museum, Sweet Auburn International Film Festival, Peachtree Village International Film Festival and many more.

GreenLight Star Productions produces projects without the restrictions of the traditional Hollywood system. They are headquartered in Charlotte, NC and draws on the talents of some of Charlotte’s, New York’s, Los Angeles and Atlanta’s most innovative filmmakers, editors, artists, musicians and more. GreenLight Star can be compared to other independent production houses such as Samuel Goldwyn, Tyler Perry Studios and IFC Films. Their innovation, quality and marketing strategy are similar to what GreenLight Star offers. GreenLight Star’s commitment to company growth is a characteristic that drives its pioneering spirit. Their growth will be maintained through innovations in film, leading edge technology, entertainment marketing expertise and more. In July 2008 GreenLight Star Productions completed post production on their first feature film “Jury of Our Peers” which will be released via worldwide distribution. “Jury” will be the beginning of several high quality entertaining independent features deriving from one of the industry’s newest heavy weights.
